Genesis and Gappa

Genesis and Gappa are software tools designed for handling and analyzing phylogenetic data. The genesis library provides a platform for working with various types of phylogenetic data, including phylogenetic trees, placements, sequences, and taxonomies. Its counterpart, the Gappa command-line tool, facilitates common analyses on this type of data. These tools are specifically tailored to process phylogenetic trees and placements, sequences, and taxonomies, offering both user-friendly high-level functionalities and the option for in-depth customization at a lower level. Notably, they are characterized by computational efficiency, extensive testing, and a track record of successful application in the field of phylogenetics.
